Bitcoin Transfer Volume

Total value of transaction inputs spent, capturing coins moved on-chain from the spender side.

About Transfer Volume

Bitcoin Transfer Volume shows the daily BTC volume represented by spent transaction inputs. In this construction it is built from spent inputs rather than outputs, so it measures value definitively consumed on the input side and provides the throughput base for several derived metrics.

A rise means more BTC was spent through the network that day. A decline means less BTC was consumed by spending. It is most useful with Market Cap, NVT, Velocity, Coin Days Destroyed, and Dormancy, where the question is raw value flow versus valuation or coin age.

The key caveat is scope. Transfer Volume measures throughput, not intent, so it does not distinguish exchange activity, rebalancing, internal reshuffling, or outright distribution. That is why it works best as a value base rather than a standalone cycle signal.
