Cumulative Bitcoin Coin Days Destroyed

Cumulative Coin Days Destroyed (CDD), tracking how much long-held supply has been spent over the full history.

About CDD (Cumulative)

Cumulative Bitcoin Coin Days Destroyed is the running total of all coin-days destroyed across Bitcoin’s history. It measures how much dormant age has been spent away in aggregate, so it is the long-run stock of destroyed dormancy rather than a daily activity reading.

A rising series means more dormant age has been consumed through spending over time. Because it never resets, it is most useful with Cumulative Supply Days and Liveliness, where the question is destroyed dormancy relative to the age base available to destroy.

The main caveat is monotonic structure. On its own, the series is too one-directional to function as a clean regime signal, which is why its practical role is mainly as the numerator inside Liveliness.
